Terms of Use

Effective October 17, 2026 · LightSeal (iOS)

Using LightSeal means you agree to these terms. If you don’t, don’t use the app.

Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. This page covers what’s specific to LightSeal. If they conflict, this page and the in-app purchase screen control purchases; Apple’s EULA controls everything else.

What LightSeal does

You shoot in this app and write a seal. Someone else opens the original file in LightSeal to see if it changed after sealing, and whether this app sealed it.

A seal is a checkable mark. It doesn’t lock the file, block edits, or catch a photo of a screen. They need this app. iOS only.

Free

  • Checking files and exporting already sealed originals are always free, including after cancellation.
  • Free seals: 10 photos and 2 videos in total, granted once and not renewed, 60 seconds per video.
  • Free seals can include location if you turn it on. Heading, context frames, and trusted time each include one free capture trial; continued use requires Pro.

LightSeal Pro

Pro unlocks unlimited seals, plus heading, context frames, and trusted time. Apple processes payment. We never see your card.

Prices below are US and mainland China examples. You pay the localized price shown in the app:

  • Monthly (com.nopscarema.app.pro.monthly): example $4.99 / ¥28, auto-renewing, billed every month.
  • Yearly (com.nopscarema.app.pro.yearly): example $39.99 / ¥168, auto-renewing, billed every year.
  • Lifetime (com.nopscarema.app.pro.lifetime): example $199.99 / ¥848, one-time purchase. Unlocks Pro permanently and never renews.

Family Sharing is not enabled.

Auto-renewal (monthly and yearly)

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or at Apple’s subscription page.
  • Unused time is not automatically refunded. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.

Acceptable use

Don’t use LightSeal for illegal purposes. Don’t describe a result as “the scene is real,” “recapture-proof,” or a court appraisal. A seal shows whether the file changed after it was sealed — not whether the scene was real.

Don’t try to forge seals, alter the app, or get around its checks or purchases.

Results and their limits

  • A result covers only the file you opened and the checks this app can run on your device. It isn’t legal evidence, an expert opinion, or a forensic appraisal. It doesn’t say who took the shot, whether the scene was staged, or whether it’s a photo of a screen.
  • Results can be wrong or unavailable. Transfer, compression, re-saving, a damaged file, an outdated app, or a bug can turn an original Inconclusive. We don’t promise that every edit will be caught.
  • You decide how much to rely on a result. When money or legal rights are at stake — deposits, claims, disputes — keep the original files and get professional advice.

Your content

  • Photos, videos, and capture details you make are yours. We don’t receive them. They leave your device only when you share them or your own backups, such as iCloud, copy them.
  • You’re responsible for what you capture and share, including getting consent where it’s required and following local laws on photographing people and private places, recording, and location data.
  • Keep your own backups. We can’t recover deleted files or seals.

No warranty, limited liability

Sections (e) “No Warranty” and (f) “Limitation of Liability” of Apple’s Standard EULA apply to LightSeal, including the results it shows. In addition:

  • We don’t promise that any court, insurer, landlord, platform, or other party will accept a result.
  • Trusted time proves a hash existed between two timestamps, not the shutter instant. Third-party timestamp authorities and network services can be unavailable, and we aren’t responsible for them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and we’ll point out material changes in the app or on this site. Using the app after a change means you accept it.
