Is this real Picture in Picture, or a custom overlay?

It is the real system feature, the same one video apps use. That is why the window survives leaving the app and can sit above anything else on the screen.

Why does the app declare background audio?

iOS keeps Picture in Picture frames updating for apps with an active audio session. Floating Crypto plays a silent, zero volume buffer purely to hold that session open. Nothing audible is ever played, and no audio is recorded.

Where do the prices come from?

Public market data from Binance, read only. There is no trading, no wallet, no API key to paste in, and no referral link anywhere in the app.

What data do you collect?

None that identifies you. There is no account, no analytics SDK, and no tracking. Your watchlist and preferences stay on the device. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Does it support Dynamic Island or a home screen widget?

Yes. Dynamic Island, the Lock Screen Live Activity, and Home/Lock Screen widgets show the same last quote as the app. They update while the app or Picture in Picture is running. When both have stopped, those glances freeze — they are not a second-by-second ticker, and they are not locked behind the unlock. Picture in Picture is the near-real-time surface.
